Donnerstag, 23. April 2015, 18.30 Uhr im Dar al Janub Vortrag und Diskussion: |
The conflict already lasting more than three years in Syria has a dramatic impact on then Palestinian refugees living there. United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed that as a result of the conflict, currently most of the approximately 540,000 Palestinians in Syria are no longer in any position to cover their daily basic needs. The fighting in Syria has triggered a new refugee movement comprising an entirely new generation of refugees. The humanitarian consequences as well as social and political effects of this additional Palestinian Diaspora will be discussed this evening.
