Twenty-first century New Age Imperialism, as coined by African-American revolutionary activist Dhoruba Bin-Wahad, is commonly termed “Globalization,” signifying the final stage of international Finance Capitalism that has brought the world to the brink of collapse. The consolidation of western Finance Capitalism is facilitated by the power and political controls of the National Security State (NSS) and its military-corporate control over so-called liberal democratic institutions by the rich, currently manifested by a right-wing nationalist military alliances known as NATO, a relict of the Cold War.
Political democracy within the former metropoles of twentieth century European Imperialism have been transformed into political and economic systems of “Democratic Fascism”, as European workers are repeatedly subjected to jingoistic right-wing nationalist political parties and rising costs of living as well as cut-backs in social programs beneficial to middle-class working populations. These arrangements foster and sustain the global wars, military intervention, economic sanctions on recalcitrant governments in the Global South for the resources and strategic minerals. The global center of European military power (NATO), economic cohesion of the EU, and reactionary domestic political policies is the United States of America.
Dhoruba Bin-Wahad is returning once more to Europe to encourage and urge European youth, workers, migrant minority populations, Muslim and progressive activists to take up the fight against New Age Imperialism, the right-wing and left-wing manifestations of Democratic Fascism, and oppose the wars and interventions in the Global South, particularly Africa and Palestine.
